Frequently Asked Questions
Can I charge it with solar and use it at the same time?▼
Yes — the pass-through charging system lets you simultaneously accept PV (solar) input and deliver AC output to your devices. The 2kWh model supports up to 450W of solar input while running loads at the same time.
Will this work in Dubai / UAE with 220V appliances?▼
Absolutely. Both models output 220V at 50Hz which is the UAE standard. The universal output sockets accept all plug types (UK 3-pin, EU 2-pin, UAE standard) without adapters. Mains charging is also configured for 220–230V input.
How long does it take to charge from a wall socket?▼
The 1kWh model (250W AC input) charges in approximately 4 hours from 0–100%. The 2kWh model (500W AC input) also reaches full charge in around 4 hours. Combine with solar charging simultaneously to reduce that further.
Can this power an air conditioner or washing machine?▼
The 2kWh model outputs a maximum of 500W continuous — suitable for lights, fans, laptops, TVs, mini fridges, CPAP machines, and kettles. High-draw appliances like ACs (1,000–2,000W) or washing machines exceed the output rating and are not supported.
Is LiFePO4 safer than regular lithium-ion?▼
Yes, significantly. Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry is thermally stable and does not undergo thermal runaway — the leading cause of lithium battery fires. These units also include 10+ layers of BMS protection on top of that.
Which solar panels are compatible?▼
The 1kWh model accepts 12–36V PV input up to 200W. The 2kWh model accepts a wider PV input up to 450W. Most standard portable and rigid solar panels (mono or poly) will work — ensure the voltage and connector type are compatible. Contact DXGEARS support for panel recommendations.
